Introduction One of the constant challenges of existence Choices matter and so does the process Cultural undertow postpones decisions The Christian believes in a Creator God who shapes the world to work in a certain way The Christian believes in a Sovereign God who controls everything and has plans and purposes for the world The Christian believes in a God who has revealed His truth to the world in His Word Proverbs is wisdom literature – the art of successful living in the world God has made It tells us how life works most of the time

1. Making wise decisions is the result of a personal relationship with God God gives His Wisdom to those who know , love and want to please Him The heart is the place where mind, will and plans are connected up Above all else guard your heart for it is the well spring of life 4:23

2.Making wise decisions is the result of obedience to the revealed will of God We observe His Word to us in Creation . Genesis 1: 26 We apply His Word to us in Scripture. Genesis 1:28 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom . Proverbs 1:7 We embed His word

Making wise decisions is the result of trusting God in everything Our weakness is to lean on our native intelligence The danger of the No Entry sign The positive outcomes: a good reputation , wholeness , the basics of life Accepting his discipline God’s overarching plan is our character and our destination
